Robert (Bob) Seiner

Deanne Larson is an active data science practitioner and academic. Her research has focused on enterprise data strategy, agile analytics, and data science best practices. She holds Project Management Professional (PMP), Project Management Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), and Six Sigma certifications. Deanne attended AT&T Executive Training at the Harvard Business School focusing on IT leadership, Stanford University focusing on data science, and New York University focusing on business analytics. She has presented at multiple conferences including TDWI, TDWI Europe, IRM UK, PMI, and other academic conferences. She is Principal Faculty at City University of Seattle, has consulted for several Fortune 500 companies, and has authored multiple research articles on data science methodology and best practices
Robert (Bob) S. Seiner is a thought-leader in the field of Data Governance and is known for his unique approach to the discipline. Bob focuses on consultative mentoring with his clients as the President and Principal of KIK Consulting & Educational Services (KIKconsulting.com) and the Publisher of The Data Administration Newsletter (TDAN.com). Bob is the author of the book “Non-Invasive Data Governance: The Path of Least Resistance and Greatest Success”, available on Amazon.com, and speaks often through his DATAVERSITY webinar series (Real-World Data Governance) and the Data Governance industry’s leading events. Bob was recently awarded the DAMA Professional Award for significant and demonstrable contributions to the data management industry.

Father of Data Warehousing

Bill Inmon is an American computer scientist, recognized by many as the father of the data warehouse. Bill wrote the first book, held the first conference, wrote the first column in a magazine and was the first to offer classes in data warehousing. Bill created the accepted definition of what a data warehouse is - a subject oriented, nonvolatile, integrated, time variant collection of data in support of management's decisions.
Bill Inmon has become the most prolific and well-known author worldwide in the big data analysis, data warehousing and business intelligence arena. In addition to authoring more than 60 books and 1,000s of articles throughout his career, Bill has been a monthly columnist with the Business Intelligence Network, EIM Institute and Data Management Review. In 2007, Bill was named by Computerworld as one of the “Ten IT People Who Mattered in the Last 40 Years” of the computer profession. Having 40+ years of experience in database technology and data warehouse design, he is known globally for his seminars on developing data warehouses and information architectures.
